Created in spring 2004, GOLEMFABRIKA is a group of associated photographers, movie makers and journalists who share the same
strong interest for the so-called Eastern Countries.
This part of the world is, for us, the subject of a constant attention and reflections, made even more necessary by the falling down of
the Soviet block.
Our aim is to build a work of memory, to consider the transformations of these countries and study convergences and divergences
among East and West, mostly between the two parts of Europe arbitrarily marked by this division.
We also propose testimonies about what came from the past, expatriated communities, minorities, evolution of societies
and consequences of integrating the European Union for many of these countries.
And, as free-lances, we also work on individual subjects such as reports and documentaries; close from us and a little bit more
to the West of our East. |
